THE  SMALLWOODS OF ST. MARY CRAY, KENT (TREE 550)

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

A Smallwood line flourished in St. Mary Cray from the late 18th century, with branches later spreading to Malling and to Bromley (via Alfred Charles Smallwood 1848-1902).
A line from George Smallwood of St. Mary Cray (1821 onwards), largely in Bromley and Islington, London, was originally recorded as tree 346 but has now been linked here.
