LOCAL HISTORY OF BEDFORD PARK, LONDON

This site is dedicated to the local history of Bedford Park, the 'first garden suburb', in West London.

The Occupant histories section is a prototype for a street by street history of the occupants of Bedford Park houses, drawing on published material, directories, electoral lists, censuses and land registry records. It is very much a work in progress, and is initially focused only on one or two streets. All contributions and suggestions are welcome.

The Useful links section is a directory of other internet based resources relevant to the local history of the area, not least the Bedford Park Society which is dedicated to the protection of the amenities of the garden suburb.

This site is available to host any material relevant to the local history of Bedford Park, and anyone wishing to contribute material or links should forward details to localhistory@bedfordpark.net .
