AN EVENING OF WORDS AND MUSIC                                What's new ?

The Government is planning a huge expansion of Heathrow Airport. It wants a third runway, a sixth terminal, and a massive increase in flights from 480,000 to 702,000 a year. It wants a new flight path right through the heart of Bedford Park, spanning North Chiswick and South Acton. It also wants to increase flights on existing routes over Grove Park by eliminating runway alternation. The local consequences in terms of increased noise, traffic congestion and atmospheric pollution are obvious, as are the more general environmental problems associated with airport expansion.

CRASH was founded to represent the views of residents of Chiswick and South Acton in the discussions regarding Heathrow expansion. If you'd be interested in participating in this group, as part of a coordinated effort to lobby the Government, please contact us

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Mass Rally on 25th February. If you haven't already registered as a supporter, please do so today !

The Government has been carrying out a public consultation on the expansion programme, but this ended on 27th February. However, there are still many other ways of making your views known, and this website includes our current suggestions for the best ways of registering your opposition, along with related web links and resources.

Even if you don't do anything else, please take a moment to register your support.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE >>  A lot of people assume that the next step in the continuing expansion of Heathrow is now a 'done deal', but this just isn't true. There is a huge amount of opposition to the plans, and there is still a lot of scope to influence the outcome, but only if people motivate themselves to express their views before it really is too late. If you care about this, now is the time to act.
